Nothing Beats Cool

Custom-made objects for El Paso businesses and the people behind them. Wood, leather, and precision, built by hand and machine.

About

I make physical things — signs, boards, holders, coins, cases — for local businesses that want something that actually looks like it belongs to them. Every piece combines hand craft and precision tools: carpentry, leatherwork, CNC routing, and laser engraving. If you can imagine it in wood, leather, or metal, we can figure it out.

Capabilities - "How it Gets made"

Carpentry

Structural builds, display pieces, and custom wood objects — cut, jointed, and finished by hand.

Leatherwork

Cut, stitched, and branded leather goods. From boards to cases — made to handle real use.

CNC Routing

Precision cuts and 3D relief work on wood. Detail that's impossible to do by hand alone.

Laser Engraving

xTool and 20w fiber laser — for fine detail on wood, leather, and metal. Logos, patterns, text.

Past Projects

Smolder & Brass — Humidor

Custom birch humidor for a local cigar lounge. Built to hold and display — not hide in a back room

Local kombucha shop — Growler Holder

CNC-cut wood holder made to fit standard growlers. Functional first, looks good second —it managed both.

Go Queen Chess — Chess Board

Full-size leather board laser-engraved with a clean grid and club branding. Flat enough to fold, sharp enough to show off.

Go Queen Chess — Key Tray

Slim leather sleeve with an engraved queen —small piece, big detail.

Go Queen Chess — Sponsor Plaque

CNC-cut relief with laser-engraved detail. The kind of plaque that actually gets hung on a wall.

Local gun club — Challenger Coins

Fiber laser-engraved challenge coins with crisp line work on raw metal. Made to be carried, not shelved.
